My late Grandparents left behind a treasure trove of old 'Kodachrome' 16mm and 35mm film reels from March 1969 right up until the late 1980s. I have plans to convert and edit the footage via Capcut into 4K to preserve and enhance the decades old footage and add some background music to make it fun. All footage was recorded by my late Grandad and family friends and there are some real gems on here. Stay tuned for more exciting finds. The Cinefilm camera used was a 'Braun Nizo 156 Macro'. This footage shows the Las Vegas Strip in May 1980. My Grandparents had planned a huge road trip that year and had to gone to see late Crooner and Las Vegas legend Tony Bennett Live at ‘The Sands Hotel & Casino’ and the film also shows the nightlife of Las Vegas. Many Of the buildings and Casinos shown are sadly long gone nowadays. One of the most famous on here is the 'MGM Grand Hotel and Casino', which sadly burnt down in November that very year.
